Lets be honest, unless your films consist of cute kittens, or a girl in a bathing suit talking for endless hours, Youtube is NOT the place to put your film. Don’t let me discourage you though, put your film everywhere, but make sure you put it here.
The opportunities for recognition are too far and in between as a student filmmaker. If you want to compete with the best around the world, whether you’re an auteur or are looking to be a big budget Hollywood guy, the REELSHOW is not only the place to be, but also more then likely the place to be in the future, as the days of filling out ridiculously tedious film festival applications are slowly becoming passé.
In the market of student films, there is no market, but here at the REELSHOW you can find a community of peer filmmakers that are going through the same things you are, and this is global. To put it simply, why go local? When you can go global.
