ReelShow gave me my very first big award, “The Young India Filmmaker award” in 2007, launching my journey into feature filmmaking in India. I have enjoyed excellent exposure and encouragement thanks to Reelshow.
Mary, the force behind Reelshow, is very close to me even though we are separated by miles and have never even met once in person. Her passion for Cinema is evident from the way the website has grown leaps and bounds, relying solely on good old word of mouth and goodwill of its members. By providing film students a much needed platform to showcase and connect, and at once being a discovery arena for film talent scouts, the portal is doing an extraordinary service to both.
Cinema is a universal medium which breaks political and cultural barriers. Similarly, Reelshow harnesses its international reach by breaking physical barriers and connecting artists. I wish Reelshow all the best for all its future endeavors – and in its own small ways, for making the world a better, more united place to live in!
